Is WordPress: The Best Blogging Platform for SEO

Is WordPress The Best Blogging Platform for SEO?

WordPress is the best website framework for SEO.  The results are apparent.  I believe that WordPress is the best for SEO.  Matt Cutts, spokesperson from Google, says that  WordPress is made to do SEO well, that‘s his quote.

SEO sites in WordPress do very well, and there are a couple of reasons why. You really need to use a content management system and, particularly, why you probably want to use WordPress.

Reason One: WordPress is Easy:

WordPress provides a really good search engine optimization Web site right out of the box. You don‘t have to make hardly any tweaks to get the big benefit of WordPress‘s structure. WordPress‘s code is WC3 compliant, which means that the code of WordPress – the programming, the HTML behind WordPress is absolutely perfect the day you get it. So when you install WordPress, it installs a perfect framework.

When Google looks at the site and realizes it‘s a WordPress site, they realize that you have a perfect, efficient framework to start with, so that‘s number one. It‘s really a big deal.

Reason Two: Google Loves Content:

Number two, it‘s really easy to add content. Anybody can learn to use WordPress in a matter of a couple of hours by watching a few videos. There‘s tons of free training information, and it‘s frankly just not that hard to learn. You‘re able to go in and do almost anything you want to—adding content, adding photos, adding videos—to WordPress. It just takes a couple of seconds, and almost anybody can do it.

The third reason you should use WordPress is because of the extensions. Basically, WordPress is a developer community. There are literally hundreds of thousands of people who contribute to the WordPress community. It‘s all open-source and most of it‘s free. There are thousands of themes that have been developed for WordPress. Once you‘ve installed WordPress, you can literally pick a theme, hit one button, and it will make the site look completely different. It‘ll change the look, the colors, the feel, the frame, everything. Some of the premium themes may cost you $30 or $40, but they make the sites just absolutely stunning and beautiful, as if you‘d had a design firm spend $50,000 to build you a Web site. You can get all that for $50. You hit one button and install it, and there you go, done. There are tons of themes. That‘s one of the biggest benefits to extensions.

Reason Three: Plug-Ins

The other big benefit to extensions are plug- ins. These are things like polls and content forms and rating features, and other SEO plug- ins that make your site even more SEO rich. All these extensions, for the most part, are free from the WordPress site. There are literally, I think, 200,000 different plug-ins from WordPress right now that you can choose from to do different things on your Web site. There are plug-ins that will automatically put a forum in your Web site. There are plug-ins that will automatically put YouTube galleries in your Web site. It‘ll go out and pull every YouTube video for a particular subject and pull it over into your Web site in five seconds. It would take you hours and hours and hours to do that. So that‘s reason number three why you should use WordPress.

Reason Four: Support

Reason number four is the support. If you have any problems with WordPress, there‘s a giant developer community with tons of message boards. You can go out and ask a question and get an answer in, usually, a matter of minutes if you really get stuck on something. But you just typically don‘t get stuck. The WordPress documentation is very good and it‘s made to be super, super simple.

Reason Five: WordPress Uses One-Click Installation

The fifth reason you‘re going to want to use WordPress is because of one-click installation. Do you remember when I talked earlier about installing WordPress? I‘m going to leave you with two links about WordPress below. One is a link to WordPress‘s five-minute installation process if you decide to do it the old-fashioned way with FTP and all that stuff— if you‘re savvy enough to do that.

If you get a host from one of the sites that I talked to you about earlier, you‘ll literally have Fantastico, and one of Fantastico‘s biggest features is being able to go in once you‘ve set up your domain name, hit one button, and install WordPress. You literally hit a singular button, you give your WordPress blog a name, and in 25 seconds you have a WordPress blog.
